We are now accepting self-tape auditions from all ages!
We're especially looking for performers who are:
- Musical Theatre performers ages 7 - 10
- Adults 18+
If you already have a Spotlight email your Spotlight link and a brief intro to info@avocadotalent.com. If you don't, please submit a self-tape. Instructions below:
WHAT TO SEND US:
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
1) INTRO VIDEO: Please record a short video telling us a bit about yourself, including your name, age (if under 18), height and where you live. In addition, please tell us something interesting about yourself. We recommend you tell us something besides your love of acting/dancing or your performance training - we know you love to perform - tell us something different. Please use your own accent. One minute maximum.
2) ACTING VIDEO : Please prepare a monologue or scene (scene preferred) of your choosing. It can be from a play or film, or something you’ve written yourself. Please use your own accent. 90 seconds maximum.
3) OPTIONAL SINGING VIDEO: If you are a highly skilled musical theatre performer interested in auditioning for West End and UK musical tours, please include a short video of you singing a musical theatre song to camera. Please perform through song. Please sing in your own accent. 30-45 seconds maximum.
SELF-TAPING TIPS:
- For the videos, please record on any device you have - a smart phone is great.
- Please film in landscape, with your head and shoulders taking up the frame. We want to see you clearly and up close.
- Please record the videos in a quiet, well-lit room against a plain, neutral background. Make sure we can see your face clearly! Please make sure there is no background noise.
- You wear whatever you like/feel comfortable in.
SENDING YOUR VIDEOS:
- Please send separate videos.
- Clearly label each video in the following format: ACTOR'S FULL NAME - ACTING/INTRO/SINGING (e.g. JANIE DOE - ACTING, JANIE DOE - INTRO, JANIE DOE - SINGING)
- Send all labelled videos to info@avocadotalent.com. You can send a viewable link or send via WeTransfer.
- Write the following as the Subject of your email: AUDITION - ACTOR'S FULL NAME (e.g. Audition - JANIE DOE)
- In the body of the email please include the your name, or if a child actor please share the parent/guardian's name, your base/location and phone number so we know how to contact you.
